Who is Uncle Bob?
Robert H. Stein, known as “Uncle Bob,” was the third family member to carry on the family glass business. His friendly nature and genuine care for customers earned him the nickname that eventually became the name of the business. Although Bob passed away in 2003, his legacy continues through his son, Chris. While the company has changed over the years, the values Bob built the business on remain the same: treating every customer like family and providing honest, caring service to the community.
What is low iron glass?
Low-iron (LI) glass is an ultra-clear option that is an aesthetic upgrade from standard glass. Standard glass has a greenish tint and darker edges. LI glass is color neutral, with only a slight bluish edge, providing an almost invisible look. When you look through low iron glass you will see the true color of your tile without a greenish hue.
Can my shower door swing in?
Yes, a frameless shower door can swing both inward and outward but only if there is enough clearance on both sides to swing safely. There may also be other factors to consider when preventing water leakage.
How long will it take to get my shower after measurements are taken?
Our average lead time from order to install is about 2-3 weeks. Once we receive your signed approval via email and your 50% deposit your glass & hardware gets ordered that same day. Then you will be placed on the next available spot on our installation calendar.
How long does installation take?
The average shower installation will take about 2-3 hours. We install Monday through Friday with 2 arrival times of between 8-9am- & 12-1pm. These times may vary depending on travel time.
Who will be installing my shower?
Only the UB team! We do not use subcontractors. You will be in good hands with a team that truly cares about the work they do and care about providing exceptional quality installations and service.
How do I clean my shower glass?
Using a squeegee after every use will remove the water and help keep your shower glass clean and spot free. Wipe down your glass weekly with vinegar or any mild glass approved cleaning product, rinse thoroughly, and dry using a microfiber towel for a spot free shine.
How long do I need to wait before I can use my shower for the first time?
We recommend waiting a full 48 hours before opening the door for the first time with a minimum of 36 hours to allow the silicone completely to fully set.
Do you offer any discounts?
YES! We offer an additional 3% discount if the balance is paid in full at the time of order using cash or check. There is no discount for paying in full using the online payment link, e-checks or credit card.
Do you have a showroom?
YES! Our showroom is by appointment and located at 374 W. Lincoln Hwy, Penndel Pa 19047. We have several showers on display including glass and hardware options. We have low iron glass side by side with standard glass so you can see the low iron difference. Come see us we would love to show you all your options.
